xt.PINE HILL FIRE DEPARTMENT, Mission Statement:
We, the members of the Pine Hill Fire Department, with utmost pride are dedicated to providing safety and high quality of life to the people of our community. With integrity as a foundation we strive to maintain these goals by drawing upon moral leadership, continuous aggressive training and solid values that make Pine Hill a proud place to live and work.
Our History:
From the year 1927 to the year 1986, the Borough of Pine Hill was protected by three segregated fire companies; the Pine Hill Fire Company #1, the Amber terrace Fire Company and the Eagle Fire Company . In the year 1986, the exertion and dreams of some firefighters became a reality with the appointment of a borough fire chief to supervise all three fire companies. This appointment laid the foundation for the eventual merge of all three fire companies into one fire department.
Over the four years that followed, the members of the three orginizations worked together, hand-in-hand, to make the merge a prosperity. In the year 1990, the Pine Hill Fire Company No. 1 moved into one building with the Eagle Fire Company.
On June 11, 1991 the deeds to all three fire houses were signed over. This was the unequivocal creation of the Pine Hill Fire Department.
The Borough of Pine Hill now recognizes one fire department which maintains two fire houses known as Staion One and Station Two. It must not go unnoticed that this merge was not compelled upon the firefighters of Pine Hill, but was instead the result of their own works and devotion.
In March of 1991 the Department also took in the EMS side of our station. And with much hard work has made its self a vital part of our Department.
The Pine Hill Fire Department now houses 11pieces of Fire Apparatus.
1 Squad Company
2 Engine Companies

2 Fire Police Vehicles
1 Boat
1 Ambulance

In 1997, the Pine Hill Fire Department enters into a contract with Kenndy Hospital to provide EMS services, do to the overwhelming ambulance calls.
In 2000, the Pine Hill Fire Department hired 2 full time firefighters to staff the Squad company during daytime hours and do the fire inspections, as well as all resales on single family homes. The company also bought a 1990 Ford F-250 standard cab with an 8' bed, from the Pine Hill MUA. This unit needed some transmission work and was sent out to have the springs beefed up. A 300 gallon skid unit was order and installed by our staff. Brush 62 has been in service since that day.
In 2004, the Pine Hill Fire Department built a new fire house on our existing property on Erial Road to keep up with the demand of the growing Fire Department. The fire house on Decou Road was sold. Included in the new fire house is 10 bunks for over night stays should the need arise.

The Chief of the department also took delivery of a 2006 Ford Expedition, which is used as a command vehicle. Chief Wright also instituted a mandatory duty crew program for the Squad Company, due to the increase of calls dispatched at night. Some of the crews sleep in house and are on call from 1900 to 0500.
In 2006, the Pine Hill Fire Department made history at the New Jersey State Firemen's Relief Association annual parade in Wildwood New Jersey. The 7 trophys that were won demonstrates the hard work and commitment from the Men and Women of this Department. Chief Wright also thanked the kids and spouses for not only helping but allowing the family members to be away for the long days and nights. It's a good feeling to pass on from generation to generations the knowledge and the will to win. Some of us can sit back and be proud parents knowing now that the kids of our Department have the taste to win. What a feeling to be the best in the State and Camden County.
